How to Prepare Ridge Gourd Chutney, remember we don't add salt to babies up to 1 year
Wash and peel outer skin of ridge gourd thoroughly. Dice into small pieces.
Note: Just for caution since you are preparing for a baby, taste a piece of the ridge gourd to check if it is not bitter. If bitter, it is not edible. -
Heat the kadai. Add oil and roast Urad to golden brown. Remove Urad dal and keep aside.

In the same kadai, sauté the Ridge Gourd until fully cooked (no need to add any extra oil or water).

Once cooled to room temperature, grind both together in a mixie to a fine paste. No need to add additional water.

Note: For adult variation, add salt and tadka with sputtered mustard, hing and whole red chilli.
