Ragi Idli for Babies
Description
Being south Indians, Idli has always been a staple food for us. It is a super quick and convenient breakfast item that can be paired with chutney, sambar or Idli podi. Finger Millet Idli was a variation to introduce to babies for different taste and for its benefits.
I have shared the Baby recipe of Ragi Idli both Wet Grinder method and Mixer Grinder Method.
Note that the ingredients proportion is different in both the recipe methods and we generally avoid adding Poha in Mixer grinder method for better consistency and texture.
How to serve babies at 6-9M stage
You can cut the Ragi Idli into 3 strips and place it front of the baby on their highchair tray to pick up and eat. Resist the urge to correct their hold or make it easier unless they struggle and are unable to pick it up even after 30sec-1min. I've noticed as long as we stay calm and don't interfere, babies will figure out the best way to eat on their own :)

Note
Note: You can preferably try this out at 8M+ as the whole Ragi along with the husk is being used and some babies might not like this texture at a younger age. You can decide as per your preference.
