Aloo Palak Paratha for Babies
Description
How to serve Babies at 6-9M stage
You can cut the thick paratha in long strips and place it front of the baby on their highchair tray to pick up and eat. Resist the urge to keep correcting them. I've noticed as long as we stay calm and don't interfere, babies will figure out the best way to eat on their own.
Aloo Palak Paratha for Babies
Procedure to make Aloo Palak Paratha, remember we have not added salt for Babies in BLW cooking
-
Boil the potato in pressure cooker until soft.
-
Peel the skin from the cooked potato.
-
Mash it well.
-
Add palak to boiling water and cook till colour turns dark green.
-
Strain the water and mash it well.
-
Mix the mashed Aloo, Palak, Turmeric, Coriander powder and Jeera powder. Add 1 tbsp Atta . No need to add any extra water.
-
Mix and knead well. We are looking for a consistency that is more potato and less Atta.
-
Sprinkle little flour and roll/flatten it to out thick (so the baby is able to pick and hold it)
-
Heat the tava.
-
Smear the butter on the tava and once heated cook the paratha evenly on both sides.
Note
You can increase the quantity above and make for adults as well. For adults modify by adding salt as required along with chilly powder while kneading the dough.
