For babies (6M+) you can cut into long strips that they can pick off their high chair and eat. You can smear any dip/chutney on the pieces before offering.
Rinse whole green moong and soak in water for 8 hours.
Note: you can also sprout the moong for an even healthier version.
Wash and soak 1 tbsp rice separately.
Rinse the soaked green moong and rice well. Put the soaked green moong, soaked rice and jeera in a mixie and grind finely by adding a little water.
Add chopped coriander leaves.
This batter need not be fermented. You can use it immediately. If not using immediately, store in fridge.
Heat the tawa. Rub few drops of oil. Spread the batter thickly if making for baby. Add few drops of oil around the dose. Alternatively you can use homemade butter/ ghee.
Once done flip it over and cook well.
For Adult variation add salt, finely chopped green chillis and grated ginger. Add a little water to the batter for crispy dosas.
